We believe this to be an Agave Americana mediopicta alba, aka Variegated Agave, commonly known as a Century Plant. It is a beautiful desert dwelling flowering succulent that produces a tall tree-like stalk with fluffs of bright yellow blooms. It truly resembles an illustration straight out of a Dr. Seuss story! Despite the name, it usually only takes about 10 years for a mature plant to flower and once it does it will die. But don't worry, it's typically grown many pups in the years prior and you'll have plenty of agave to live on! Perfect for xeriscaping and drought tolerant areas. It's definitely a standout in any garden!

You will receive the plant shown in photos. This plant will ship bare root, no pot or soil is included with this item. This plant is approximately 5" tall from the soil line and 12" wide from leaf tip to tip.

Plants shipped with roots should be planted into dry soil and left without water for at least one week to ensure roots are healed and to minimize the chances of root rot or any other issues that may develop.

Plants can be sensitive during shipping, so please consider the weather in your area before ordering. We offer heat or cold packs to aid in shipping. If you would like one, please add it to your order and we'll happily pack it along with your plants for shipping. There is no additional shipping charged for the heat/cold packs.

Grown outdoors in Glendale, Arizona. Some plants and cactus may have small flaws, missing spines, imperfections, cosmetic damage or scars. These blemishes don't harm the plant and only add to their unique character! We do our best to capture these in our photos so you know exactly what you’re getting, but no person (or plant!) is perfect :)

As with all new plants you add to your collection, please take care to keep your new plant baby separated for a week or so and be on the lookout for any unwanted pests or infections. We do our best to ensure this is not an issue, but caution is always recommended.
